I've suffered from panic attacks for years and lately my stress levels have elevated my blood pressure. I've never had high blood pressure before and so my doctor thinks it's just stress... anyway, I downloaded several "relaxtion" or "meditation" mp3s to try and help me relax but most don't work because I can't get my mind to focus on the mp3 and stop racing to other things...until I found this download. This one is amazing. I can picture myself on the beach, intially laying on a hammock until she tells me to walk to the water's edge... then I am standing at the shoreline, staring at the waves, picking up shells, eventually night falls and there is a crackling fireplace that is very calming and soothing and I swear I can smell the burning wood... this is the first time I've ever gotten completely into one of these tapes and after 20 minutes I feel so relaxed. I've begun to do this meditation for a few minutes before work too but my favorite is to lay down for 20 minutes after a hard day at work and relax in this island paradise. I wish calmsound would produce other guided meditations because this one is the best I've found so far.

good voice, but music, pace are frenetic

The speaker does have an excellent voice. But the music is extremely annoying. The pace is frenetic, and there are these little bass motifs every few seconds that made me feel I was in a discotheque. This appears to be relaxation for the MTV generation -- relaxation on Ritalin.

I LOVE this track. The sounds are wonderful and the narrator has a very soothing voice -- unlike many other meditation recordings that I've heard. It's definitely worth the $1 to download it!!!
