The Convergence of Spirituality, Science & Religion

If you believe in God you have to believe that His intelligence exceeds man's wildest dreams. For thousands of years religions have taught people about God through ancient writings and scrolls. It could be the Bible, Quran or a host of other documents revered in different religions. Why do they differ so greatly? Why does the same book contradict itself over and over again? I believe that we will have many answers very soon.

God is doing a new thing in this age. He is opening up revelation as to His true identity and character. How is He doing this? Spiritually... The one true mark of spiritual living is the pursuit of the truth, wherever it takes you. In many ways religion binds people to a certain set of doctrines that were written down thousands of years ago by men and then translated by other men. Through science and modern technology we are now learning that some of what was written thousands of years ago was much more scientific than religious.

Who can receive this new revelation from God? The answer is simple, those who want to know the truth and are open to receiving it! If someone is so deeply entrenched in the religious teachings of men it would be difficult to receive instruction from God. I know full well that many religious leaders would disagree with this statement but it is true. The Spirit of God lifts people up and sets them free. Does that sound like most religions to you? There are many religious people who are also spiritual; they love in the face of hatred and adversity and do their very best to do what is right. There is true religion.

What if it was discovered the Bible was a highly scientific document containing mathematical formulas and ancient messages sent by God thousands of years in advance? Could God be that smart? Would God know that the Bible would become the most studied book in history and people would develop software programs to try and unravel the mysteries and meanings? God is that smart, and smarter!

God is good. This is a difficult thing to remember when you see so much of the opposite in the world today. But remember, God is good... Don't put Him in a box or limit Him to the writings of men. God is above all and contrary to many things that we have been taught, God is far greater than anything that is written. If that is not the God you know maybe you can exchange yours for the Highest One!
