What Would God Say About Spirituality?

by Allen on June 3, 2010 0 Comments

God would say it is the pathway to freedom if you don’t lose heart on the journey… Truth is the foundation of the spirituality path – it is essential. No problem can be solved until you see the truth about it.

God would also say that it is easy to become discouraged along the way. All of the prisoners seek to keep you imprisoned just as they are. But, if you will just ask me to reveal the truth, I will. I know all, the beginning, the end, and everything in between.

Don’t be deceived by the world's wordsmiths, books written by men or by people of exalted status on earth. People use words to twist the truth, many books were written by people with an agenda (Their own-not mine) and many of the exalted world leaders prefer to lie rather than tell the truth. Don’t think ...

What Does God Care About?

by Allen on May 23, 2010 0 Comments

Have you ever wondered what God really cares about? Think about all the different religions and doctrines about God... How could so many be so different? In some religions we have thousands of denominations each with it's own teaching. We have religions that tell us to love ... and others that tell to kill. Ask yourself this... Are they from God?

I believe that God cares about people. I believe that God cares are spiritual principles like love, truth, faith and honesty. Hard to prove it by what we see in the world today but ultimately those are the principles that will prevail... May not look that way, but they will!

I believe that God cares about fellowship. Isn't that why mankind was created. Maybe the most powerful and ingenious mind anywhere was lonely and just wanted company. Have you ever felt like that? I believe that God wants ...

God 2009

by Allen on March 2, 2010 0 Comments

I remember reading Marcus Borg some years ago and particularly his book God at 2000. When I first read Marcus Borg I was concerned about much of his theology and yet I could not deny the spirit of God that flowed through his life, works, and profession. Having read at least a dozen of his books or edited works over the years, I've come to no longer be uneasy; in fact, I'm quite at ease with him.

Most people change as they mature: some a lot more than others. And unfortunately, some develop an opinion or judgment of a person (and God) and that's how it is for their entire life. We create images of people, places, and God and those images then determine our life. My God at 2009 is greatly different than my God was January 2, 2008. It's amazing how different God is ...

The Convergence of Spirituality, Science & Religion

by Allen on January 31, 2010 0 Comments

If you believe in God you have to believe that His intelligence exceeds man's wildest dreams. For thousands of years religions have taught people about God through ancient writings and scrolls. It could be the Bible, Quran or a host of other documents revered in different religions. Why do they differ so greatly? Why does the same book contradict itself over and over again? I believe that we will have many answers very soon.

God is doing a new thing in this age. He is opening up revelation as to His true identity and character. How is He doing this? Spiritually... The one true mark of spiritual living is the pursuit of the truth, wherever it takes you. In many ways religion binds people to a certain set of doctrines that were written down thousands of years ago by men and then translated by other men. Through science and ...

The Difference Between Spirituality and Religion.

by Allen on January 22, 2010 0 Comments

Is there a difference between spirituality and religion? While there may be some that disagree I believe the answer is an emphatic yes! The term spiritual is in the Bible a number of times but there are so many other verses that diminish its impact. What is the Difference between Spirituality and Religion?

Spirituality

Spirituality teaches us to become attuned to the spirit of God within us. There are numerous things that we can do to become more attuned to God's communication as well. A few of these are quiet time, meditation and service to others. The laws and principles are directed by God through our heart, mind and conscience. A spiritual life is committed to the truth (whatever it may be). Spiritual principles such as unconditional love, forgiveness and service are key. Instead of being directed from without we are being directed from within through the Highest Spirit ...

Spiritual Warfare... Ephesians 6,12 - Do You See It?

by Allen on January 6, 2010 0 Comments

This Bible verse is from Ephesians 6,12 in the King James Bible.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

Do you see the struggles between ideologies, religions, governments, nations and more? Of course you do! Everyone is beginning to see it on some level. But what about the spiritual warfare that is going on in many peoples minds, hearts and emotions? Do you see it? More importantly, have you experienced it?

I am no longer young. On some levels I feel ancient. On other levels I feel like a child but I have wrestled these forces from the day I was born. Both in the natural and in the spiritual world. Have you? If you have then read on because there are some things that I want YOU ...

Does Meditation Help You To Grow Spiritually?

by Allen on January 3, 2010 0 Comments

The simple answer to the question about meditating and growing spiritually is yes. If you are new to meditation you may very well discover an easy way to reduce stress, become more intuitive and be happier regardless of your present circumstances. A lot of people would pay big money for that type of results but the good news is that meditation is free and you can do it anywhere.

There are many types of meditation types of meditation but for the purpose of this article I am going to keep it simple. That usually works best anyway! Over the years I have found either sitting in a chair or laying on a bed or flat surface is best. Below is a simple meditation practice that works.

  • Close your eyes and be aware of your right hand. Can you see your right hand? Can you feel the the blood flowing to ...

Spiritual Wisdom From The New Testament - 2 Cor 3,6

by Allen on November 26, 2009 0 Comments

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killleth but the spirit giveth life.Translation from the King James Bible 2 Corinthians 3,6

This Bible verse is one that would cause great controversy with many teachers of religion. What is the true message here? Are we being told here that belief in words on the pages of a book not will not only fail to bring life but may even kill the spirit within us that brings life? One of the Spirit's role is to bring knowledge and revelation about God. If our belief in God is based solely on the writings of men in a book we will have no knowledge and no revelation.

After untold number of hours of detailed study of the Bible, scripture verses, key words and scrolls in search ...

Is God Spiritual or Religious?

by Allen on November 14, 2009 0 Comments

Let me begin by saying that God is available to all who seek Him. Some people seek to find God through religion. Others may seek to know God through prayer, meditation and service to others. Everyone that seeks God honestly and with an open mind will find Him.

God is Spiritual

God is the creative force, energy and spirit of existence. Scientifically He is beyond understanding and yet God loves, has feelings and understands every hardship and limitation of humanity. People that seek to fellowship with God through meditation, prayer and service to others will find that God is better than anyone can relate with words, any words! Many religions are formed solely on doctrines written in books by different people. They feel that the words in the book are the absolute truth about God. If a persons belief is as such what can God reveal to them? If He ...

If You Were God What Would You Choose?

by Allen on October 14, 2009 1 Comment

If you were God what religion would you choose? Would you choose one church over another? What about the races, would you prefer one over the other? These are deep questions that many seem to think are answered by the writings in books. The only trouble is that as you read the different books they all seem to say that God prefers them...

I am sure that the questions outlined above are even difficult for God. If God created mankind that means that all people are descendants. As far as churches go could you choose one? If you say that He will choose the Christian church which one would it be. There are so many denominations with so many different doctrines and beliefs which one would you choose? The sad truth is that many of the denominations don't even like each. So if you are God and chose only ...

Is Spirituality in the Bible?

by Allen on October 10, 2009 0 Comments

The Bible is the doctrinal root of most Christian religions and denominations. Many of the denominations started as a result of differences in opinion over the meaning of certain Bible verses. What about spirituality? Is it mentioned in the Bible? The answer is yes.

The word "spiritual" is mentioned 28 times in the KJV Bible. All but one of those verses is in the New Testament. It is used once in the Old Testament in Hosea 9,7. The word "spiritually" is used 3 times in the KJV Bible all of which are in the New Testament. The word spirit is used over 500 times throughout the Old and New Testaments.

One Bible verse that uses the word spiritual I find to be interesting is from 1 COR 2,15 in the King James Version Bible. It says " But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is ...

Spirituality Principles or Religious Doctrines

by Allen on June 26, 2009 0 Comments

Seeking to know the truth can be a difficult and painful road at times. Personally, I always wanted the truth even if it turned out to be one I didn't like or agree with I'd still prefer the truth. This path has led me to places and revelations few have been or could even begin to understand. Once upon a time someone said to "you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free", he didn't mention the cost...

After spending many years; tens of thousands of hours in meditation, researching the Bible words and verses in depth I arrived at a simple revelation; that Religion is a set of doctrines written by men (and women) and translated by others (sometimes not too well). Disputes over the meanings of the words and doctrines has caused strife, division, war, murder, oppression, persecution and many other negative ...

God, Spirituality and Religion

by Allen on June 9, 2009 0 Comments

God, Spirituality and Religion.

In this day and age there is quite a contrast between religion and spirituality. Most religions believe in a set of rules or codes that were obtained through books.Generally those seeking a spiritual path are, or should be more intent on finding the truth. While that may involve reading books and even in depth study of the words and phrases what they learn is still subject to open to revelation from God.

The great spiritual truth is that life is a journey. We may deviate from the path in many ways but I believe that if are hearts and minds are open to the truth God will in fact reveal it. If are hearts and minds are closed because we think we have the truth already because we read it in a book then God can't reveal anything to us.

Much of what I ...

Faith, Religion, God and the Bible

by Allen on June 3, 2009 0 Comments

The day is fast approaching that questions people have asked been asking for thousands of years will be answered. The answers are intended to bring peace, joy and liberty to all; but will they?

To me, one of the most alarming trends in religion today is an almost blind faith in a book; and not in God, who the book is about. The Bible is a mystery... it is full of irreconcilable and incomprehensible statements, acts, accounts and contradictions. To not see all of them acknowledge the truth of this isn't faith. Maybe God had a deeper reason for certain words or statements that are ridiculous being in there. Faith in God and faith in a book are worlds apart! The Bible didn't convince me to believe or trust in God, and neither did religion; God did!

What if some of the things that were sown into the ...

Contempt Prior to Investigation

by Allen on May 26, 2009 0 Comments

"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which can not fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance-that principle is contempt prior to investigation." - HERBERT SPENCER

Spencer was a very widely known English philosopher, scientist, theologian during the 1800's. He was also among the creators of the field of sociology. He was among the greatest minds of Victorian England.

NOTES:

This quote appeared in the First Edition of the Book of Alcoholics Anonymous which is the foundation of all the 12 step programs. After tens of thousand of thousands of hours studying scriptures with computer software, reading many different books on religion, GOD, Spirituality and related subjects I have yet to find a formula or belief system more complete or more powerful than the 12 Steps. Even though these steps were written by what the world saw as ...
